One of the most popular uses of the glass tabletops is to cover wood furniture to prevent scratching. 6mm clear glass is the recommended glass for this purpose.
· When the glass table top is used as the actual top (for example on wrought iron bases) the minimum recommended glass thickness is 10mm. For kitchen and dinning room tables the recommended glass is 12mm.
· For patio furniture because of the safety factor, tempered glass is the glass of choice
